Hi!
Does anyone know an approximate date or any information on this Bassett Server? It has some thin inlay work in two places, and has waterfall/veneer exteriors. the inside has one shelf, that is made of very thin wood that shows some age. The handles are pot metal with tortoise bakelite that I have had to repair with Gorilla Glue (I know...it's a little rough, but I love it). :)
I'm guessing it's from the 40's, but I'm just not sure. What do you think? I do know that Bassett began making furniture in 1902 and is still in business, today.
Bassett 445 is scrawled on the back in black (wax?) pencil and 445 is also stamped diagonally on the back.
