Color fades from amethyst to colorless and then to an aqua / teal color. Embossed art nouveau design with thin layer of silver. No apparent markings. My best guess is possibly Czech, but it's really just a guess. I'd love to know more about it ... all opinions are welcome.

There were a couple like this in the back room of the PMC. I have one with stereotypical bohemian decoration. I think bohemian is a safe bet.

Is this a silver overlay or is it carved out and then silvercoloured? Depending on that it could be either french or bohemian.

To me it looks like this is acid cut with a silver deposit. My gut on these is Goldberg.

The design looks to be slightly embossed in the glass, and then I think the silver is applied very thinly; not quite like traditional overlay.

The embossed design could be the result of an acid process that left the remaining surface with a satin finish.

Thanks a bunch to both Greatsnowyowl and kunsthammer. Upon futher investigation with their leads, I have to agree the vase is likely by Karl Goldberg.

I have now found several similar ones including this most-similar example:

      Thanks again.

I had the same form with overlay, but with a dark purple cased glass. Goldberg was the attribution for that piece. The silver overlay is really fragile and thin on these pieces; too much polishing and its gone.
