Men in a variety of funky hats:
1) Foreign legion style hat. Maybe military (anyone recognize). Seems to be wearing a medal. Maybe police. Big braid - obviously dress uniform. Signed Harry C. Stauffer. Done by Robinson Studio in Pennsylvania. It is nicely done like a cabinet card but is only about 2/3 the usual size.
2) Man in a Scottish tam hat with ear flaps tied up. Very dapper. Nice overcoat. No ID. Done by G. E. Whiten of Peterborough. Also a 2/3 size cabinet card.
3) Man with a stogie in a woven hat. Nice wool suit. Piercing eyes. No ID. Done by P. H. Berg of Piers, Minn. Cabinet card - lower right corner missing.
4) No collection of funky hats would be complete without a religious tricorn. This is Rev. John J. Riordan of Castle Garden, NY. He appears to have a bible in one hand while the other hand is.......inside his cassock.....but why?? No photographer info on the cabinet card.
Thank you ttomtucker, moonstonelover, b'buss, mustangtony and vetraio for the appreciation!
