This piece is an Adolf Beckert for Loetz arounf 1909. There is a premium price paid for this designer because a new book is on the horizon. The piece is marbled with transluscent veils of white in pink glass. Four light green cabochons decorate the rim. The whole piece is acid treated (probably a cold procedure) and the cabochons have a secessionist pattern to them, they are also gold decorated. I have seen many pieces in this series over the years. The size is 7 1/2" tall by 3 1/4" wide and is heavy for its size.
This is the first one of these I've seen .... It is now on my wish list!
