Tiger oak cabinet used for my barber shop corner. I'm still adding things to go with this corner of the house. I have antique barber shop bottles displayed on top of the cabinet and some antique razors inside. This is a work in progress. Later on I will add more pics. Thanks for looking!
That is fantastic barber chair wow . Must have been for rich people , It it victorian ? And do you give haircuts too ? You have a very impressive man cave ! Love love it
Thank you Manikin, I'm not sure if it's considered Victorian or not, the last patent date on the back is 1910, and I do give hair cuts but you may want to go to the professionals. Lol
Gee and I was hoping for a haircut in that beautiful chair but I don't look good in a military buzz cut lol
Take a little off the top, back and sides then straight razor shave but not too close, I'd like to keep my nose ya know. Looks like it might have come from the late 1920s to early 30s. NICE
You trust a guy who says he can't cut hair to use a straight edge ! wow signaholic your a brave soul :-)
Exactly Manikin, you may want to up your life insurance if I use a straight razor on you. lol
I actually used to shave my Nam guys with a straight edge when in hospital . I think they may have been more afraid of that than the field :-) I am sure they took to praying I had a good day and a steady hand since we shaved some area's pre surgery that way if ya know what I mean . I tell ya a makes a guy worry but never lost any vital parts on my shift . Although some may have PTSD about straight edge razors :-)
Love the fire pull station stand too chevy, very nice! Great display!
Thank you pickrknows, it doesn't really go with the barber stuff, but just in case I catch your hair on fire while cutting your throat, I can pull the alarm and have the fire department there in a jiffy. Lol
Manikin, I have never shaved with a straight razor and probably never will, my wife on the other hand would love to shave my neck with a straight razor if I let her. Lol I sure those guys in nam were happy to have a nurse with a steady hand! One little slip of the hand and their man hood got thrown out with the water.
LOL oh come on trust your wife let her try :-) actually they are fairly easy to use , just don't move :-)
Wow, I am restoring an identical barber chair right now, and I also choose the red color and similar color for the wood. I painted the metal in silver color. Once I finish I will send some pics to your email. Saludos, Luis from Mexico.
