Wondering on background of this sewing machine and if it holds any value. Set in swing table. All orginal. Actually found this on the curb, its in better condition. Not quite mint. Your help in helping me figure this thing out would be great! Tag pics, machine pic included.
Thank you,
Craig J
It's a Japanese machine quite possibly made by Koyo going by the information on the motor. Are there any markings or numbers under it? It's a reasonably modern machine relatively speaking, not a collectors model although the vintage zig-zaggers are popular with some collectors. The value is only as a second hand sewing machine.
I am looking for the manual for the Universal pat. no. 523537.
Please let me know where I can buy it.
Buni I have one that ur looking for actually in mint condition
Hi buni,
Do you happen to still have the manual for this sewing machine? I'm currently in search of one. My husband came across this exact sewing machine a couple of days ago. How many different plates did yours have? Thank you.
Hi Keramikos,
Thank you very much for your assistance. It is much appreciated.
Does anyone have any information about either of these 2 Vintage Sewing Machines:
1) KOYO Cariole K1201, Serial # 903252; or
2) KOYO Dial 'n Sew, Model 816, Serial # 5617
I have looked everywhere for info; any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi, LVidris. :-)
I'm kind of flying blind her without any pictures, but I found this about the KOYO Cariole K1201:

As to your KOYO Dial 'n' Sew, if it looks like this:

Then this manual might be of help:

I'm not a member myself, but it's a large group, they're reportedly very knowledgeable, and they have somebody who maintains a digital library of at last report close to a thousand manuals for various vintage sewing machines.
Good luck. :-)
