Remple Planters - 50's

These were made by Diamond Pottery in Crooksville Ohio in the 40's or 50's. They are characters from the book Deegie and the Fairy Princess by Ruth Remple. Deegie was a little farm boy who made animals out of clay and a fairy princess waved her wand and brought them to life. Need to research book a little more to make sure this is the true story. Think they are adorable. Frisky the horse and Milky the cow.
