    (116 items)

    Model numbers: B773, B772 and B845
    Colored underlay: X73 golden yellow.
Heights: 100 mm, 150 mm and 270 mm.
Design: Gunnar Nylund for Strombergshyttan 1957-58.

The picture from 1972 catalog shows there is only the X75 underlay color, sargasso green. I have also data from the 1962 price list. Neither there are the three models with other underlay than X75. Therefore this vases I show here can be produced before 1962, maybe in the late 1950s? My two Nylund vases here:
    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/86715-gunnar-nylund-strombergshyttan-1956?in=collection-1793
dated 1956 have the same X73 golden-yellow color, so I think it was a color frequently used in the 1950s. The size of the tall vase (270mm) does not exist neither in the 1962, 1972 or 1977 catalogs. There, it appears in 230, 250 or 300 mm. Also this indicates my vases can be of early production from 1950s. And the shape in the bottom differ a little from my B 845 (it's signed B845 so it can not be another model). Maybe the shape was changed after some years?

The three Shark Tooth models B772, B773 and B845 must be some of Nylunds most successful designs. Produced over at least 20 years, according to the catalog from 1977 where they still exist (after Orrefors took over Strombergshyttan). But there are a few more models of Shark Tooth Vases by Nylund, that I will try to show a little later.

Thanks BELLIN68, and lovers! Yes, the color is special with its tonal transition from dark to lighter. It becomes very nicely with the Shark tooth shape.

They must be very heavy. Did you weigh them?

Thanks charcoal, epson, cobaltbold and austro! Not extreme heavy, they are flat. Yes I have this set of three, but there are at least four other models of Shark tooth vases by Nylund. I have three of them and will show them forwards.
