More of my Marklin "O" guage collection.

These are also from the 1930s. Pic #1 shows car used to transport brown coal dust.

Pic #2 shows the famous ME steam locomotive. ME for "Mountain" I think! If you have a Christie's catalogue, it may be in it. If so, you will see the value of such a locomotive.
This is a made in Germany exact replica of the Marklin ME.

Pic #3 shows a four axle Marklin "O" guage freight car. Again, wood is original.

Pic #4 shows a "O" guage Mitropa RHEINGOLD car. Basel/Amsterdam line. This car has table lamps that light up, doors that open.
I am fortunate to have on board a very good friend who lives in Germany. His name is Mr. Bauer. He is an expert in collectibles especially toy trains. He provided some information on this particular car after seeing it posted here. Here is what he wrote:

"This car is a replica of the company Dearstedt (Switzerland). Original car in the Märklin produced only on special request. Original car, I have not seen yet! (Nazi Goering original Rheingold car has gone on his trail-0-conditioning ...)."
