delicately painted flowers and bird in light blue, framed within a pattern of colorful glazed hexagon. as far as i know it might be japanese because the hexagonal pattern that the frames are asymmetric? just because Chinese preferred symmetrical decorations...
It all seems to be hand drawn, and very nicely done.
any knowledge what is written underneath? where and when has this vase been made? 1880-1900?

i scanned gotheborg's as well but got cross eyed allready without finding this mark... anyway thanks a lot for your help, i appreciate it.

What's happened in Passau was historic.
Many here on CW know of the importance of the museum of glass there.
Hope Herr Höltl got the collection out and up to safety.
yes i'm in germany but i live in brunswick, near hannover, lower saxony....
there is a little bit of water here but far away from what happens in passau, deggendorf etc.
but not only in germany... in hungary, czechia, austria as well.
but i do hope as well herr höltl got the collection out...
the terrible thing it will happen again and more often in future.
when temperatures rise more water evaporates and it rains a lot more...
