This unit has been restored. Don't know value only what was paid for unit before restoration. I see a lot of replicas but nothing on vintage. Any help would be great.

If this is worthless then what about the 1929 glasscock cooler thats all original except for the cap cather missing doesn't get any recognition from you after what you stated on the restored cooler. I'm a bit confused about your opinion. Being in your position(coke guru) it seems to me that if is not yours then it doesn't deserve any kind of recognition. IMO
Sorry about the small size on that pic; but it says:
Designed for Coca-Cola in the bottles
Designed under license for Coca-Cola Btlng Co. for Coca-Cola Btlng. Co.
Westinghouse Elec & Mnfng Co.
Springfield, Mass
Patented under one or more of the following patent #s
then it lists 4 patent #s
39 is in the top right hand corner of the plate
I understand your point of view on the item Ray and I appreciate your feed back. However, this is the original "box" which I cannot find anywhere. I only see NEW replicas. I know part of the experience of collecting is finding that unique piece and getting the item into shape if needed. But again, Thank you for your feedback.
Ever watch Storage Wars? They found a RESTORED coke machine and sold it for several thousand! This is just a cooler, but even restored it has SOME value, especially to coke collectors or people that aren't avid coke collectors but would like to start out with a piece like this. I think it's cool! Restoration is a sticky subject with collectors. I personally never restore anything, but some out there feel that if something like this were restored with original parts and original colors it wouldn't kill the value.
Everyone Remember ! Forget book guide and If it was repainted and all that Its all what someone is willing to pay. Supply in demand You never know? I myself like items orig. Not repainted But ! If It is a missing item in your collection. Or you want it bad $ ?
Thanks for the comments fenton & toyman. I just can't seem to nail down a price on it. I can't, or just not looking in right place, find a price on an original, restored or otherwise. Any suggestions on where to look?
Im not sure but I would not sell for less than 800- 1000 I have the orig westinghouse standard size open on the bottom for bottles.Inside my cooler it has a round coil. Its warming up now and Im starting to clean stuff up downstairs I will be doing more research too.and let you know if I find anything about yours .Thanks for chatting and posting.
Thanks Toyman. I really appreciate the help. Mine is just an icebox. No refrigeration at all. But that info will get me going in the right direction.
I am new here and new to coke stuff but out here in California I have seen an unrestored one of these at an antique shop that they are asking $400 for. I was tempted to buy and clean up myself because that is what I like to do. If they are to badly gone I think they should be cleaned up or they will just rust away. Kind of like a vintage car. Still highly valued and wanted even after repaint newer engine etc.... I found on the internet that these Westinghouse Juniors ice chests clean like your could get $1,400... I was trying to find out if that one I saw for $400 in the condition it was in is a good deal or not..... Hope this helps...
It is nice to see the same model as mine 1937 Westinghouse. I have had it for thirty years. A couple of weeks ago some lady gave me a 1950s Jet trash can in great shape. Would any body no how rare they are Thanks Greg.
I also have a restored standard and love it! enjoy it's beautiful
