How do you find something like this at the thrift store? How do you find this mixed in with all the crappy brass candle holders at the thrift store???
Fellow thrifters...look on the bottom shelf!
This is a 1981 Bob Bennett original bronze who is about 18" inches tall. I am still trying to find the actual name of this piece, and what A/P means. He and his twin brother Tom were great sculptors, please do yourself a favor and google his name, and go to images...love!

I am not sure what I am going to do with her. Frankly, she would pay for a new, large, shed for me and my treasures...

I still don't know what I am doing with her. Foster her for a while and see if she fits in. Having my own little building would solve a lot of hoarder conversations.
If I were closer I would build you one for this! I would post some of my "sheds" sometime, if only they were collectible!! I've built some very interesting and detailed little "shacks"

Sounds like my latest" shed" I built for my "treasures"/junk depending on who you are asking.
It's 25x50', 2 floors w 12' ceilings each floor! plenty of windows for light, all utilities roughed- in. Lots left to finish, but plenty of room for new finds!
We used to say on da farm, room to swing a cat, not that I ever did!
Oh to dream of such a treasure palace.
Its fun to find things you like, but isn't it REALLY fun to find valuable things?

You are absolutely right Amber. Bottom shelves and way in back are were the best things hide. Look and then looks again! I can't tell you how many times I've almost walked out but went back for one more look and found the best stuff. Fantastic find ! :)
Agreed Mike, I also do a quick pass down the plastic aisle as people always seem to try and hide stuff there.

Everyone is so nice on this site! Thank you for all the nice comments and love. I'm still pretty charged up and have gone back, to my now favorite thrift (not telling Toolate) hoping for a sister piece. Nothing! Will probably go there all the time now looking for lightening to strike twice!

What a find! Well done. I always check the floor, crammed under the shelves, you never know whats there, though I've never found anything as fantastic as this! Never heard of Bob Bennet but the figures superb. I love it.
