I'm once again not sure if this is just silver plate or silver as it's unmarked, bought at the same thrift shop, but then again, my etched bracelet turned out to be sterling silver so I'll have to journey to the jeweler next weekend when I get back from Utah. (yes, I'm once again heading to a cooler, greener climate!) It measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" & I hardly noticed the tiny writing at the bottom. From what I've googled, I believe this is based on the painting "Kemesse Flamande" by the artist, Teniers.

By the by. There are very tiny marks to the right and left of the French text.
They might well be French Hallmarks.

Hard to see at this resolution.
      Check out:

They tend to be très tiny!

I found one that was sold at this auction site in England:
"La Kermesse Flamande, an impressed oval Silver Medal, uniface, in imitation of engraving, after a painting by David Teniers, probably late 19th or early 20th century, a couple dance before a bagpiper standing on a barrel, rustic types carousing nearby, 48mm x 60mm, small suspension loop. About very fine. £100-150
A kermesse is a rustic festival peculiar to Belgium and northern France. The painting is by David Teniers (1582-1649), or possibly his son, also David (1610-1690)"

Thanks for all the info, vetraio! You found a lot more then I was able to! Thanks as well for pointing out the possible marks I didn't notice , I'll have to find my loop. Had a great one, but seem to have misplaced somewhere!
