Nice piece -- really caught my eye! (actually literally did..)
trunkman, thank you ...it really is stunning with a lot of fire in direct sunlight!
It reminds me of an entire Galaxy contained within a sealed package. All the reflective light within is Beautiful !!!!!!
holy fire! looks like it is burning, like embers. Amazing!!! You really have wonderful pieces!!!!
Actually, its not fair that something like this could be found in nature!!!! How crazy is that.
musikchoo, I think so too...its truly beautiful! XOXOXO
Very much it's a colour you do not see often or maybe just this quality but today I have seen it twice. Lucky you.
Zowie, where did you see it? Do you know what kind of Opal it could be? Thank you!!
BHock45, thank you for saying that!!! I am blessed!
JayHow, my property first..once I get my own place! Then I will share! You know I like to share!! XOXOXOX

You're welcome Lee :-))))))
Hello I hope all is well. I believe it is a Crystal Opal which can be found in Quilpie, North West Queensland. There is a shop in Canberra called Mintable Opal Field, owned by Peter Blythe, Email address for contact is mineshaft@webone.com.au. The shop was opened in 1978, if it is the Crystal Opal from what I have read I am to believe to be very rare. The best way to find out for sure contact the Email address in comment & send photo to be sure. Good luck with this. I hope I have steered you in the Wright direction as it could be worth good money to you if sold. Out of the photos I have seen this is the best.
Sorry I did not reply where I seen it, it was on line not sure what site I was just looking around. I hope the other information helps.
Budek, TYFYL~~~!!!!!
I see it is out of it's setting if the same one, if it isn't then lucky you to have two. I hope the site I suggested was okay if not sorry I was of no help steering you in that direction. I have not found my way around this site completely as I haven't really had any lessons I'm just going blind & trying to do the best I can. Actually I am a novice in all field, but I know what I like & you have such wonderful items.
Zowie, thank you for all your help!! What is strange is that the fire shows only in sunlight and lamplight.
The same as the seahorse you can see the colours without the light but it brings them out a lot more & in the Wright place it looks beautiful. Also sorry not for trade as it was a gift from my husband.
Zowie, you are blessed!!!
Thank you I wish
It looks like it's lit from within!
upstatenycollector, it does have the fire within!!! Thank you!!!
