I was very happy to get this for a rather reasonable price. This bowl may be a consequence of the fall of the wall. The late Erik Höglund who is one of the most famous Swedish glass designers after WW II, was invited to the Bohemain glass factory of Chribska in the early 90s. This bowl is very heavy and measures 31x35 cm, with a height of 9 cm. It is signed "E. Höglund Chribska-92".
Chribska normally did some awfully kitschy glass designs which are not so much my taste. You can see some catalogues and pieces on this page:

Höglund led them to a superb simplicity and produced some very beautiful designs in free form, often in clear glass with big spots in two or three colors. You can see some of these designs with the help of the Google picture search:

If you have more informations about this unusual cooperation, please tell me. I know that there was a little flyer or crochure about it in Swedish which I would really like to read.

Dear austro, thank you for loving it, this makes me proud. Do you know something about these late works of Höglund?
