7-1/4" tall, 3-1/2" wide. Slightly concave front side and convex back side. Bacardi in raised capital letters 1" tall kitty-corner across front. "Federal law prohibits sale or re-use of this bottle" (all caps) across top front. "Bacardi corp of America San Juan PR" (all caps) on bottom.
Would love to know how old this bottle is.
Cap is half-rusted. The bottle was found in a streambed and the glass is in quite good shape.
Sounds like a pint bottle. At 1st, I thought it was a "Q".(a quarter liter/quart). I'm dying to tell this true story. While living in St Eustatius,NA, A friend of mine married a very religious Amer. woman & his father still lived in "Statia". The father was invited up to visit but the wife wouldn't allow alcohol in the house. His father came in one nite drunk with a "Q" in his back pocket & the son came to the door and tried to help his father in. His father fell on his butt & the "Q" broke. Son told me his father reached back & felt something wet and said, "God, I hope that's blood!".
In the islands, people often buy cigs. by 1 or 2 & bring in their empty "Q"'s for a "top-up" at a store or rum bar. Just life here.
I know this is a really old post, but I just found one of these today, although mine lacks the large "Bacardi" embossing it's otherwise the same, and it is clearly dated at 1944 with the O-I as the glass maker.
