The DSC is our nations second highest award for valor ranking just below the Medal of Honor. It was created during WW1 and this souvenir ring dates from that time period.
The ring is aluminum cast and the DSC "cross" appears to be bronze. The style of the DSC is similar to French made examples of 1918. I am not sure if the cross came from a miniature or if it was specially cast for rings and other items, but it is definitely of the period.
Along with the ring came an original WW1 era DSC single ribbon bar. It is in rough shape.
Unfortunately, the seller had no documentation on the piece.
