We just moved into a new house on Friday. The previous owner left this behind for us. I did get to meet the owner, she was very kind, and have fond memories of the home. I am guessing this piece had meaning to her as well.

The piece spins and plays a song like a music box. There are no markings. Thanks!

Does she sit flat on bottom ?. She was made into a music box and Vet was right she is a German half Doll mold ( age of her hard to tell she could be one done in a ceramic class or true antique 1900's. I would need to hold her to say for sure . At some point she was dressed much later than her age if she is antique half doll and attached to a music box . The Half doll is maybe older than her dress and music box or she may have been made by owner , hard to tell her age but clothes and the roses on her arms were added later that hints she was embellished by owner and dressed by her . Very nice , she may have been very special to her because she dressed her or someone gave it to her . Nice House warming gift :-)

thank you vetraio, agram.m, budek and manikin for the comments and info! Manikin, looks like the roses were glued to her. Same with the fan she is holding. She is lovely though. And she will stay in the home until even the next owner! :)
