Not really sure of the story behind this pin but really neat looking. I picked this out of a box of junk jewels at a yard sale for .25c . I guess it was a WWII Air Force pilots way to honor their mothers and I love the cool 1940's font.

Wow this is an awesome piece! I have a few pieces posted myself. This would have been the mother's version of the sweetheart pin, worn by a very proud mother no doubt. There are various versions of these pins worn by family members and sweethearts at home during the war. The great thing about collecting these is how different each one is. I am definitely jealous! What a great find!

Nice "sweetheart jewelry" pin-- I have seen this particular pin before. It is a fairly readily available example. As roxy said these come in a huge variety.

You can find other examples of sweetheart jewelry on CW-- I have several examples posted.

      Yours survived in good condition.
