I am respectful and thankful to all who buy and sell antiques, I've just never been one to sell. Most of the items I post are because I enjoy learning about who and where they're made. Thank you all for help, it's been a fun journey so far:) This pottery vase has been one I've tried to figure out for years. It has a arts and crafts/art deco shape, with both matte under glaze and gloss drip glaze. The underside has a blue glaze and a mark scratched in 5W. I know that Weller has made a Bedford line with blue glaze on the bottom but the surface glaze seems off to me, both Owens have made similar shapes and color pottery. Anyone with knowledge of arts and crafts pottery recognize this vase?
Love it. Pottery drives me crazy! Would it have been so hard for them to clearly mark their pieces:))
beautiful!!!!
I'm going with...old. 30s. Ummmm...there were so many then...I started out just for me. Then to learn. Then I was rescuing from the scratch and chip...then was accused by a loving hubby of being a hoarder-esqe. So now do about 4 shows a year to place treasures with loving families. Hard sometimes, fun no doubt, but its great to place the right piece with the right person. And yes, I know how that sounds but it works for me. :))
Thank you all for the love and kind comments:)
thanks again bratjdd:)
