Hello friends!
I just got this little Quezal jack-in the-pulpit vase, and I though it would be cool to get a little perspective on the tall and the small (and the old and the new). So here it is again; the newcomer tickles the tape at 5" tall, where my other Quezal JIP scrapes the roof at 14" tall - probably very close to the smallest and largest JIP vases that Quezal made. And to fill out the picture photo 3 has a Lundberg Studios JIP (very much in the style of Quezal) that is a good solid 10" tall. You can see how much Lundberg imitated the originals, while also maintaining its' own identity. They do make a nice balanced grouping.
Enjoy!
Alright, since it is so very close to fireworks, I'm just going to go with....oooooo...aaaahhhhh!
I love these kinds of shots! The 14" example is superb.
Thanks Amber & Tony.
Thanks Gary.
velly velly nice! Love the contrast.
Thanks GSO.
dasullywon, Glad to see that your Quezal Art Glass collection is growing...
Thanks JJZ. I know it will never rival your collection, but I really appreciate your comments, and I am progressing.
Glorious!...:-)
I love the feather decoration on the back of your tall JIP. It gorgeous.
I agree, Deb & Kyle; to really appreciate the JIP vases like the big one you need a display case that either can be viewed from all sides, or with mirrors so you can see the front and back. I'm still working on that. Thanks for the loves.
That shape, with that amazing lustre, looks alive,
Gorgeous pieces!
