Hello friends!
I just received an addition to my LCT Favrile collection; another "floriform" vase in gold Favrile. This one has a wonderfully organic shape (it doesn't even stand completely vertical) and very nice iridescence, at a good height of 11". It is signed on the bottom with the number "5300 H". I do not have the reference for this yet, but I'm going to guess this puts it right around 1900, or a little earlier? I'm sure someone out there can give me a better idea of the date.
The third photo shows the new vase with my other gold Favrile vases, including the center one which is 16-1/2" tall. All three vases are heavy, and all have a nice "ring" when plunked. The third is often called a "goblet" vase, but it can't be used as such so I group it with the floriforms. In any case it helped to balance the composition.
Enjoy!
OMG....in heaven...can I come over and take a look? :))))

SULLY : in the Koch "bible" of Tiffany glass his list puts suffix H at 1913.
Thanks Frank; I recently got the Steeg book, and he agrees (1913). I have not seen the Koch; is it a better book? Usually when you put "bible" with a book title that means it's pretty good. Thanks!
I have Steeg. I think that's the book where he identifies a piece of CARNIVAL glass as Tiffany !!!
Koch is much better. I have a piece of his collection which was auctioned at Christie's in NYC.
I was about to buy the Koch the other day, and since you think it's the best I'll go ahead and do that. Thanks Frank!
