cocacolaki…

Since I got the e-mail not to make a logo, it's only the pic.
As you can see from the mustard colored border, and fuzzy/ blurry image of Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan, that this is clearly a reproduction coke tray. Though it had the right coke logo and trademark, it has clearly fooled some people. I have a very bad condition ( 2.5 ) one, and I bought for 2 bucks at a estate sale, even though it's worth nothing. This tray is no. 6 in my countdown.
Please note some will be late, I've been working on a school project.
Thanks CCK! Good luck on your school project.... I'm working on a few of those myself for college. They can be a drag. :)
Hey, CCK.... I have a question.... Today I ran across an old bottle that had "CC Soda, Property of Coca Cola" on it. It was $1.... Should I go back and get it or is it not worth it?
Post it, I want to see pictures. I'm part of a bottle club here in michigan. They certified me as an expert on straight sided/ and regular coke bottles.
I bought one of these trays many years ago and boy was I disappointed when I found out it was a repro. I have long replaced it with the "Real Thing".
May I ask how much you paid?
It's a joke they tell about me. They tease me alot at my bottle club. Don't worry, it's a inside joke.
Well, I'd have to go buy the bottle to post pics. Guess I'll do that LOL
cocacolakid97, I hate to tell you, but $275.00 and I still have it a reminder not to get taken again with Coke items.
ouch tom, thats an expensive lesson learned! I like coke items, but I typically don't buy them because I don't know what is real and what is fake. I'll leave the coke collecting to those that have put in the time to know what is real! lol
There are at least 2 ways to tell the fake. 1. They had a white or gray back, the real one has a black back. 2. the fake does not have the manufacturers name on it (they were more afraid of being sued for copyright than being sued by Coke!)
