This is a picture of Casey and I when I was 19 years old! She was my very first Kitty that my Father rescued from a Mansion in Beverly Hills.
The story goes that she came from Show pedigree background and was meant to show. The lady did not take care of her. What my Dad found in the LA Times was free Maine Coon to good home! He went to see her and he found a scrawny long kitty with a lacerated tongue, mangy coat, eyes that could not open fully from infection! And basically emaciated and could not eat, lick and drink! So he brought her home knowing she would need emergency help! At that time I was riding horses and working at a top Veterinary Clinic and so I brought her in...she had to be on Prednisone and antibiotics....she was in bad shape!!! I spent about $4,000 on her care...
She was my first love and she was so smart and loving....I hope you like this story!!! Sorry for the bad pictures!!!

We had a Maine Coon named Hobbs who lived to be a good 16 or 17 years old. He was such a regal, sweet tempered cat, I miss him.
Such a nice picture. We never see ourselves the way others do. He looks like my cat Benji. I think he's part, if not all Maine Coon. He's very old, over 20 but going strong !

sarahoff, thank you for loving and I miss my Casey all the time...she was so loving and caring!! She would lay lengthwise on my chest and sleep...taking up half my body!
Hobbs would tap us when he'd want some attention, and he could open doors! :) I would get another Maine coon in a heartbeat:)
Such a big heart & you truly haven't aged much at all no bull I don't tend to speak it as I don't like it. Have a great day

sarahoff, Casey would sit on my dinning room chair while I ate dinner. And if she saw something on my fork that was good enough for her....she would stop the fork from going into my mouth with her paw!!! So instead of thinking it was food going into my mouth it would be a furry paw!!!! XOXOXOXO

I had four black cats that just kinda showed up to
live at my house at different times. One has died and
have three now and some other neighborhood cats that
hang around for the chow! Glad to hear about you
adopting needy cats!!!
WPJ, I have had 4 cats. All rescues. And one from the barn where I had my horses at. Even my show horses were rescues from the slaughter. The girls and I are about to rescue another pet in a little while. Thank you for loving and understanding my longtime friend xoxoxo.
