I've been helping my neighbour clean out her house & she gave me a few items, this is one of them.
Oval plate 4" x 6"
Minton Chelsea Bird Pattern, by the Minton mark it dates between 1891 & 1912. The year cypher impressed into back dates it to 1919, that appears to be in conflict with the Minton mark.
Online reference to the pattern being produced for Ryrie Brothers Jewellers of Toronto. That company was purchased by Birks in 1904.

Thanks Sis for the love & the kind words. It's been a lot of work she is 93, her son came home to help but he is partially paralyzed, so I was enlisted. She has lived in the house since 1967, so there was lot's of packing to do.
You're right about the plate going in Sherry's cabinet, no sooner had I showed her what I brought home & it was gone, snatched away you might say!
