Hello! Well my son and I entered the Giant pumpkin contest every year when he was growing up!! Here he is cutting top off for Haloween! Our biggest was over 435 pounds and he won $150. that year! He won money every year! It is not easy! You need about about 1000 leaves the size of elephants ears! Then pick the best! cut the rest! Use fertilizers, secret, you learn over the years! Pumpkin in photo is very small! I am divorced and do not have the big pumpkin photos. It was fun growing them! Last photo is my son this year graduating from University California Santa Cruz. Good pumpkin seeds cost up to $5.00 each!! It is beautiful, the flowers and deciding how to cut and go for it! Almost like a child, you worry and watch it everyday! Thanks for looking!! Don

He graduated with a Philosophy Degree, He may work but also applied for Paralegal Cert. at UCLA (5 mo. Prog), and also thinking about Teaching Credential for ESL and teaching Eng. in Japan. He received $122,000 in scholarships so no debt! BUT Simon may need $$ for college! I know you love him so he will except help from you!!

You should be the proud Papa!
But I can see Simon's little wooden influence apparent by you young son stabbing that innocent pumpkin.
