I have one piece of Durand glass and this is it. What is normally referred to as zipper, Quezal and Durand called Block-A-Dot. Emil Larson called this a gladiola vase. It is shape #1714 and is 14 inches tall. (2004)
I have never seen this decor before. Hypnotic.

I have collected Durand for years and have about 60 vases BUT never seen this decor.

For published pictures of this vase's decoration with slight variations, see Meschi's "Durand The Man and His Glass" vase #432 on page 100, and figure #38-(1) on page 41 of "Glass Threads" by the Museum of American Glass. Also, Quezal used this decoration on several shades, and rarely on vases. (See Roberts shade #246)
