I found this on a flea market. In fact, there are three or them. The seller was a young (Roma) guy, who said the pins come from Italy, but he wasn't sure. I’ve never seen such pins before and have no idea about their style. Very simple materials: brass, colored glass and leather (cardboard?) padding in the cylindrical cases... My rough guess is that it's some old rustic jewelry, but what, how old (it could be as early as 17-18 century – but it won’t be surprise if they are made after WW II), and where they really came from - any ideas and suggestions are welcome!

      Tie pins for men?

Hat pins more likely... But these are by no means a standard type of jewelry. They look like some strange craftsman's personal invention.

Seems to have a tramp/trench art thing going on. Buttons, beads, and what could be bullet shell casings?

Too short for hat pins. The angle of the pin make them for very close work on a tie/cravat.
