    1946 Zypher Lilly Roseville Pottery 135-9". Bundle purchase at estate sale today. Mint condition This piece was a bargain even at the asking price. Valued at $150-$175

      the mark is authentic according to what i saw on the web site

      The plain Roseville mark did precede the one with USA, but all the raised (relief) marked pieces include the USA I have posted a similar piece from my collection. Thanks.

      Thanks for your comments. You live and learn when collecting buying and selling. After further research this piece is a repro. But since I bought it in a bundle deal at an estate sale it cost me under $10 so no loss on this end. I'll get $15-20 at the next flea market.

      Yes, I learned the hard way also. I got a couple of bookends that had 1 real and one fake. Still nice looking though. Good luck in your picking!

      The first Roseville repro out of China were the pattern Brown Magnolia....and were marked made in USA .....they had made molds off real Roseville Pots....They got through customs.....Second time around they were not allowed into the country.....Who ever commissioned them had to grind off the Made in USA from the molds....so you will still find brown repro Magnolia pots out in the market place marked made in USA...The paint is not the best on them....after awhile you can pick them out easily.
