Remember back a couple months ago I posted some oddball caricature 1881 trade cards by Frank Pearsall? Well eBay never disappoints and another appeared by the same artist as the others; and it’s just as odd, colorful and cartoony as the others. I now have four in total and hopefully will see more in the future.

To put things in perspective, Pearsall's Compact Camera is historically important and very rare; only three known. It is shown here with a tintype portrait of Frank Pearsall and one of his early 1870s business cards.

I recently just bought the same trade card but its in an album. The album is falling apart and I was wondering if anyone on here might know of a safe way to remove them.

Hi PaperHoarder ... terrific that you have the same trade card. Are there any others by Frank Pearsall in your album? In regards to removing cards safely, I don't know of any method. This is also true for highly valuable sports cards (i.e. T205 and T206 baseball cards). Many cards have ruined backs even today from collectors removing them from mounts.
