Found this unusual design McCoy pitcher at Volunteers of America this morning. The examples I've seen online call it an art deco "strap" design and there are vases as well with this same pattern. No cracks or glued bits, but there is one old stained chip in the edge of the top opening. Spout, handle, and base are all in great shape.

beautiful!!!!
Is in 1948 catalogue, looking for a price for you.
Found in Warman's 2nd edition 2008
Strap pitcher in glossy burgundy, late 1940's. McCoy mark 75-85. Doesn't say if rare but only book so far I have seen it in.
Must be rare if I don't have one:)
Thanks for checking nldionne :) They set it out in the kitchen area at Volunteers of America. Saw it on my second pass before I left. I almost missed it. I've learned you have to check every nook and cranny twice or you'll miss something !
The vases in this pattern are awesome too !
OK dad....lol
You're only as old as you feel Eye !
Any time!
Don't believe him he's only 93
Now I have visions of him being nothing more than a spinal column and a skull sitting in a wheel chair like the Sponge Bob cartoon......and yes I watch Sponge Bob every day along with the BBC Antiques Roadshow.
