A very whimsical oil on board painting depicting a self portrait of Waylande Gregory and with Yolanda playing Polo at the field in Far Hills in the 1930’s. It is a funny view into their leisure time. Gregory loved the sport and he was famous for his Polo Player ceramic pieces.
The other side of the board is also painted with a wonderful nude.
Yet another wonderful post, FlederMaus! Thanks for sharing these wonderful pieces! Treaures!
STUNNING!!!! wow so so beautiful:)
Thanks for all of the wonderful comments
The nude is not Yolanda. Interesting...
I was reading about Gregory. I wonder if the nude on the reverse of your painting is his young assistant he employed in the early 40s, Dolores Vigletti?
Beautiful Gregory vase you won. I was watching that one. I remember seeing similar pieces in the estate gallery.
I am not sure who the nude is. It could be Dolores.
