Purchased this bike from a nice gentlemen in Chicago who had purchased this bike from a local Schwinn dealer in Chicago in 1992. The bike has its original paint with a few minor touch-up areas. The bike has all it's original parts except for the tires, which I am in the process of obtaining for the bike. Over the years someone had replated some of the chrome. It has a skip tooth with a sweethart sproket and crank. The saddle seat is original and in very nice condition. I understand that this bike had previously been stored in a climate controlled room which accounts for the really nice condition of the bike. The horn botton and wiring light is all original. A really nice feature is that on the handlebar that is a 1939 "Twin Falls" bicycle license made of brass. The Schwinn badge says "Arnold Schwinn Majestic, Chicago, USA" which is in excellent condition and I believe is pretty rare ... I have never seen one myself. I believe this bike originally came with double-butted spokes. At this time those spokes are not on there, but I am also looking to get those replaced when located. The headlight has a lens that has "Delta" imprinted on the glass. I am fortunate that this bike still has the key for the locking forks. There is matching numbers on the cyclinder and key with "Ace" made in USA imprinted on the key. It works as the forks do lock. Just finished putting the bike together, polished it out and rode it briefly (rides excellent) and am pretty proud of this bike.

You should be proud! That's an awesome bicycle!!! Try getting the "modern" stainless double butt spokes. Memorylane carries them... So does your local bike shop...lol... I put them on my Phantom and they look great!

Kevin, I think I may have a bike very similar to yours. It's my dad's and has been in his garage for 40 years. It was his bike as a child in the late 30's, early 40's.
It looks exactly the same ( just full of dust, dirt, grease, and some minor rust). It has the locking front fork, minus the key, and a delta headlight and seat. Toolbox is also way cool. I just took some pics as it came off the rafters. Let me know if you would like to see them. Not sure I can attach them here.
I would love for some expert to evaluate the bike and advise me if I should just try to clean it up, or have it professionally restored .
Bike as also has a Schwinn label under the seat and it says Chicago on it too.
