this watch was given to me by a jewler who went out of buss. i have looked all over the internet for this watch,it has 1 diamond in the middle of it.the numbers on the mechanics are 2968756 the box that it came in when it was new came from a jewler in ironwood mich. he went into bussness in 1888 and went out in 1889 0r 90,please call me if you have any info on it ,i am interested in parting with it,i know there are other elgins out there with 4 diamonds in it,on the back of the case of the watch it says warranteed U.S.S.?A.Y ITHER A C OR A G MFG.CO. INSIDE IT SAYS ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH COMPANY. PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW?IM RACKING MY BRAIN HERE! This is a 15 Jewel watch made in 1887. The number of these manufactured was 1000. I would estimate a value of about £350

hi, i have a elgin 1888 pocket watch, in good working order, but i cant find any infortmation on this watch, it has 1 jewel in the centre of hand in the works, it has elgin natiwatch co, 3058199. its a closed watch front and back, on the case it says excelsior warranted 124370. hope you can help. many thanks.
