I believe this is a statue of Fukurokuju, Japanese/Chinese God of Wisdom. However, I am unable to find anything more about this particular statue, i.e. artist, medium, value, etc...It was found with several miniature asian cork carvings. I've taken a couple of pictures, including one of what appears to be a copyright date of 1986 and perhaps the name of the artist? Any experts out there? I'd love to know more about it, especially the name of the artist. This was a storage auction mystery that I haven't yet unraveled.
