I don't know so much about the Spontana series, only that is was presented by Johansfors in 1967. There are some very beautiful pieces presented on the site which is dedicated to Orup:

On Modernistglass.com they try to explain the technique, but to be true, it's not understandable to me.

    http://www.modernistglass.com/glasspieces/view/1783/signed-1967-spontana-johansfors-orup-art-glass-vase

It's sommerso cased in clear glass. How they did the colors the small black granulation points, the bubbles - don't ask me (but explainit, if you can!). If you see it against the light it's wonderful to see the different pattern from the backside shine through.

I'll present an other vase and a bowl soon.

I forgot the measures: It stands 28 cm high, 17 cm large and flat (6 cm "deep"). I weighs 1.750 kg.

Dear austro, thank you! Yes, it's a beauty. Did you show Carlos's bowl somewhere?

No, I haven't... the thing about taking pics of his items is that it used to be much more complicated than taking mine (no spare room to take them...), that's why I haven't taken pics of much of his suff. In any case I have just started using a light-box (you can see there's a fabric background on the pics of his Riemerschmid candleholder) and as soon as we're back from our holidays I'll start taking those pictures... hundreds of them!!! :)

Yes, it's always difficult to find a place for the pictures. Often you don't want to have reflections on the glass, when it's colored. But on clear glass, on the other hand, reflections are desired. And for ceramics the situation is completely different. It didn't remark the textile background in the Riemerschmid pictures. Where does the light come from? Do you have special lamps?

Not at all, it's all natural light! My light box looks just like this one (http://www.coolgadgetconcept.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/portable-photo-studio-02.jpg) and I set it on top of the table at the terrace, so the whole box was surrounded by light... but yes, this isn't ok for every kind of item: colour glass would need another light, and so would clear glass; iridiscent glass is even more difficult... I must work on those different items later. I got this lightbox loooong ago but couldn't make it work at my place with my ights, etc... I am happy it's working fine at Carlos's terrace.
