WWII German Infantry Officer's Peaked Cap

Classic example of a WWII German officer's visor cap. This particular Infantry officer's cap shows moderate to heavy use, and even has the first two initials of the original owner's name under the celluloid sweat diamond, but unfortunately the last name was removed. The rare maker, Wulf & Co., is clearly marked inside the cap and includes as part of the Wulf logo a profile of a German soldier wearing a stahlhelm. The metal insignia has not been removed since the cap was purchased by the original owner. Geprüft 2./ J.R. 90, is clearly stamped inside the sweatband. This indicates that the cap was once an other ranks visor field upgraded to officer. There are two very minor moth nips to the top of the cap.
