This is a beautiful Victorian medallion in the shape of a heart. The medallion is richly decorated. A nice border along the side in the form of two twigs and a flower. The center of the flower is a garnet and on the twigs are small rose diamonds. Unfortunately missing a small rose diamond but hardly to see with the nacked eye. To the side is to open the locket and inside offers space for two small photos or other memory. Another wonderful example of craftsmanship in the past either in Victorian times!

Zowie thanks again, I appreciate your comments, interest and lovings!
It is easy to say nice things when it's true believe me if it wasn't true I would not say it.
Zowie that's an attitude I like and I know because i'm the same. If i don't like something I don't give compliments either. Thanks for your valuable comment.
I'm pleased you aprove as it's the only way I know as I hate it if someone pee's in my pocket as I have had done then you feel like a geek when people say something & it's to late to change it which then spoils the rest of your day & night. Please keep your beautiful items coming.
nutsabotash, thanks for your nice comment and loving!
Now I know I will, thanks! Call me Marga
I learned something today and glad this post came up again. My late mother in law (she isn't actually late, she is dead. We just call her late) had one of these. We thought the little stones or jewels were glass. We will have to fish it out of the junk jewelry box and have a closer look.
Nuts you have to examine it will. It could be garnet but also ordinary glass. I've seen both!
