This one just arrived the other day and now thanks to the great people on CW I know it was made by Harrach arround the 1880's and they called the stunning colour and decor Marmor Aquamarin .

It looked Bohemian to me by the cutting of the edge so I took the punt and bought it ( for a very good price) .
Lovely mottled white on clear pale blue glass inner layer then a thincker slightly darker blue glass layer and I think a thin clear over that...
Hand cut top with traces of original guilding.
Hand painted & guilt sprays of flowers all around.

    9" diameter 3 "high
    No makers marks .

Probably so, Marty... I'm thinking Julius Muhlhaus as a strong possibility

Hi all you great glass people !
I do not have the catalogue but Leah has kindly sen me an image for comparison.
RThere are distinct simulkarities between the two.
      (1) same amount of scallops ththe edge . But mine has the additional cutting where the scallops meet.
      (2) Similar painted design.
I have to agree with Al that my bowl is a lot more complex . Not just a singular or two layers of glass but at least 3 .
I presume if this was meant to sit in a metal stand there would be an indentation on the base of the bowl which there is not .
All said this does not preclude this being made by Kralik and refined by Mulhaus.
In the Harrach book there is something a little like the mottled effect from the 1880's .
I'll study the phots and bowl a bit more.
thanks for the imput that is something I love about this site and you guys and gals.

      The Colour is special .
I think Harrach call it Marmor Aquamarin . there is an example on page 277 of the new Harrach book.
