    Got these today:

Coke, C.C. Soda, Mojonnier (the one with the rubber stopper) and a few unknown medicine bottles. The tiny clear bottle says "free sample" on it. The light amber bottle in picture 3 is a mystery to me, never seen one with a 1/2 cup measurement line on it. Any info on these bottles would be great. Thanks!

http://www.antique-bottles.net/forum/m-49869/tm.htm - this is for the amber bottle but it does not say what it was used for.

The coke bottle is from 1951-1957, the C.C. soda I don't think has anything to do with coca-cola. If it was, it would have "coca-cola" in full, block letters. free sample bottle looks like an early 1900's "trial" bottle. Another amber, huh? I need one of those, but ya know, you kind find ant of those in michigan sometimes. other ones I have no idea. lot maybe worth about 20-25 bucks. great finds.

The C.C Soda bottle has "property of Coca-Cola bottling co." on the bottom of it. So, did coke make bottles for other companies at some point in time? The bottle with the stopper is a milk testing bottle, it was used to test the content of cream in the milk, I think it's from around 1920... thats what I've gathered from my research. I paid $7 for the lot. Thanks!

I found this online about an identical bottle: "Those are one of the Coca Cola Company designs for their bottlers to use for flavors. They were designed to fit the same machinery as the hobble skirt bottles. Alot of bottlers use their own designs anyway though. Thats why there are so many Coke soda water flavor bottles." They also said it was from around '23 or 24. Cool find!

Cool, thanks VF! It is also stamped on the bottom of the bottle DeRidder, L.A. With a C inside of a circle. DeRidder is about 45 min. north of me.

I have the same amber bottle with the cup measurements on it, still mystery to me, I dug it up around 40 years ago

if it says owens corning on it. it was most likely a lab bottle, or a pharmacy bottle?
    14. tikiray tikiray, 14 years ago
Mine doesn't say corning on it, but from my research I have pretty much figured out is was a bottle to mix Certo or something like that used for making jelly and such. I think you would add water up to the line and shake it... maybe?
