Thanks to all the debate from fellow glassies I know it is Bohemian and could be by several makers . I am going to stick with one namely Welz... I my be wrong but just want to pin a name on it.
This just arrived today I did not even hear it being delivered...
I is a little beauty with no damage at all...
Made with a milky white inner layer that had een covered in spattered green aventurine and pink frit then cased in a clear outer layer. On to this has been delicately hand painted a gilded rose with leaves and buds .
5 1/2 "Tall .
Ozmarty, great find!!! Love it....just asking..can you take a look at my posting and tell me if this vase has been shortened? XO

Na , your doin'fine yourself..
Ozmarty, I feel like I am all over the place with my vases. They do not seem to match in shape or colour. Is that normal. ?
eventually you will have so many it will not even cross your mind! :)
I have all sorts and love most of them
Ozmarty, I got my second Kralik thread lobe vase. That I thought was a pallme Koenig lol
Thanks Charlie
I was going to go for that one too Marty :) But I just wasn't sure about it. Looks great! And a bargain to boot! Well done :)
Lovely colour combination ozmarty!
It looks like a garden tea party all in itself! How are you Oz? Hope you are well!
Hi justanovice yes quite pretty.
Hi amberRose I'd like to go to a garden party .. çept too cold down here .
I'm Ok ... too long a story otherwise>>.:)
It does look like Vasa Muhara from Fenton but like the person above, not sure of the hand painting and shape as being Fenton
Hi Al and Leah. I have seen quite a few Legas pieces and they usually have that puffy look like the ones in Leah's link . I still feel this is Bohemian and my guess is Welz.. ( though could be one of the others ) .
As for Fenton I do not know enough to judge.
STUNNING Ozmarty!!! very very beautiful!!!!
bohemian for sure, since everyone made this type of glass truly impossible to know. this gold enameling also appears on many pieces from many makers. the trophy vases have all the colors you see here and the enamil type too. you are most like right about a welz attribution but harrach might be right too
Hi Jayhow . with naked eye and 10x magnification I can not see inner clear layer BUT with 20x I think I can but this may be an optical illusion as the inner edge at that resolution is beveled and there is guilding to contend with.
I'm going to stay with my Welz for the moment . though Harrach would be nice for me as would any of the Bohemian makers...
I adore this peice & the gilted rose pattern just enhances it.
Hi Marty, i hope you don't mind but i added a link to this post from one of mine to compare colours. Which are very similar. May i ask what aventurine means? I've used the word in my description because of your use of it here, but don't know what it means, lol.
Hi Vintagefran
In the glass collecting world it is the name given to glass that has fine metal or mica inclusions
here is a longer explanation

Hi Marty been awhile I'm still try to catch up on all Emails. Weekends really cruel it for me up here & with the cyclones coming in then leaving again with very little in it. I'll keep trying. Have a safe & happy day
last I heard about up your way was that 2 cyclones one from north west and another from the East were heading your way.
Looks like you have survived... or they canceled each other out.
Stay safe...
Hi ozmarty in the end we haven't gotten much out of it except a far bit rain it come down it buckets last night & the sky has a bit of pink in it at the moment still trying to catch up on Emails. Actually it's a wonder my man hasn't turned up yet as soon as I log on & I get interrupted so I don't get to far but when ever I kick off again I start with the new. Sooner or later I will get to the last of them. Have a safe & great day take care.
