    Vintage Columbian no.61 open cast reel and rod.

    Found it with my Dad's old fishing poles.

    It looks to me like one of the first open cast reels.

    I'm not sure if it's missing any parts and if the rod is the original.

      These were a good quality copy of the Aledo Micron, an Italian top quality reel.
      There were a few similar reels made in Japan at this same time period, 1960's.
