BelleEpoque

This beautiful necklace is a British Arts & Crafts piece very much in the romantic Pre-Raphaelite tradition. It is constituted by two central panels of blue opal and two side panels with red opal each surrounded by handmade silver leaves. It has no maker's mark but the quality is high, comparable to pieces by Liberty & Co.
stunning!!!!
Now that's really beautiful....
Thanks for your feedback, guys. Your comments make my day!
Your pieces rival anything on the internet!!!
I Have '-never seen opal look so good-a true beauty
Cheers Rose
I'm pretty confident this is a Liberty piece. If you could lay your hands on a copy of the Liberty jewellery sketch book you might find it.
Thanks for the input, Jewels1900, I certainly would like to get my hands on that sketch book! :)
I would too. Next time I'm in the UK I'm going to do a little detective work & see if it's in a public collection.
Hi BelleEpoque, I've just found out that the sketch book is at the V&A. I wonder if you can book a time to view it or get a facsimile.
Thanks so much for the tip, Jewels!! I will try and found out for sure, and I shall inform you of the outcome if I succeed :)
Super! Good luck.
This is exquisite!
