This is one of my favorite Kralik pieces in my collection. The shape is so squat and rounded - it reminds me of a fat pumpkin stack. It also has a mold-blown sort of wave or shell pattern on four sides of the vase, which I tried to show in the photo. It's a heavy one, about 5 1/2" across the bottom and almost 4 3/4" tall. It has a lovely iridescence that adds so much to the beautiful peachy-amber color of the glass. I really like the texture of Kralik's crackle in particular - it seems to have more depth and interest than other bohemian makers of the time.
Gorgeous!!!!
Thanks, Lee!
What do you think of my Kralik Crackle Vase? XO
well this is strange un uneven iridescent, what happened here , still nice
Hi apostata, it is actually all iridescent; I think the angle of light makes it look that way.
