Johnny West Chief Cherokee and Storm Cloud! I have all these!
Aren't they around 1965
Sounds about right. I started to get them when I was little, and some of them were used. They were made until 1976. I wouldn't be surprised if they are all marked 1965 for the patent year
The year I got the GI Joe my brother got Johnny West and Chief Cherokee
My first were Jane and Thunderbolt. Sam Cobra is still my favorite
so what is it worth
Safely I would say around $175, but could go as high as $200. If you wait until the ecomomy gets better more than that
Never heard of Sam Cobra
Keep this in mind however if you are selling on Ebay. Look at other successful auctions to see how they describe the item. As many details of condition is good, and lots of clear good pictures. It's all about presentation, and good feedback with items like this
The bad guy in black? I found one in the box a couple of years ago, I was over the top!
I had Johnny, Jane, and the Chief, plus about a half dozen horses. Gave the dolls to Goodwill, gave the horses to a niece who loved horses. Do we really have to talk about what they're worth now days? (lol)
Not all of them go for tons. You can find some for around 30 without the box and played with. It's the sets that go high, and higer if in the box.
I have all of these ( Mom never got rid of any of our toys) Jane West ,Johnny West, Geronmio, and (I can't remember for sure) but I think his name was Black Bart.
I have 2 thunderbolts , one is a palamino and the other is black. There is also another horse ( can't remember his name either) he had movable legs.
I have all mine from childhood. Some years ago, my daughter played with them and it was probably not a good idea.
She used to play with them and her Barbies at the same time. I remember her talking in her Barbie voice say, Hey Chef Cherokee, make me some chicken please.
Then she would talk in the Indian's voice and say, Uhhhh, that's Chief Cherokee mam! I don't cook chicken. LOL
Just in time for the 50th anniversary of Johnny West. That is Geronimo not Chief Cherokee. There is going to be a lot of Johnny West coming soon.
