Chinese Antique Jar with red marking (AGE??? HELP!!)

Hi my name is Andrew. This was my mothers who passed away and its just been sitting here filling me with curiosity. How old is it? I've attempted to find out but haven't come to any conclusion. My best guess is it is around 1920's and my g/f thinks its 1800's. It has a really old paper inside of it and the darn red stamp on the bottom that drives me crazy not knowing what it is. Its between 3-4" tall. Has 2 separate paintings of people that appear to be on the beach. I'm afraid my kids will end up breaking it and then I will find out its of value after. I'm just curious if its of significant age or value and would like it if someone could tell something about it because I am dying to find out. It has these small black pin holes at the surface which I am not sure if that's good or bad. It also has a wooden lid for it.
Glad I could share it and hope someone can school me on it and tell me what it is, where its from and how old it is.
