Per Lütken joined Holmegaard in 1942 and had never worked with glass before. Hand-blown glass was done in a workshop consisting of a number of skilled craftsmen. Per Lütken delivered to Holmegaards workshops ideas for new glass works in the form of drawings and molds. Per Lütken drew well over 3,000 different glass. His resourcefulness, respect for craftsmanship and artistic discipline has positioned him as one of the western world's most prominent glass artists. Per Lütken worked at Holmegaard until his death 1998 (born 1919).
