What is this? Pry/chisel/chipper? Hollow handle has spring for return action.. - Tools and Hardware

I've added another photo for comparison with a Yankee and large standard screw driver. Also, there is a small lubrication hole on the top of the handle.
I'm thinking some sort of one handed, spring-return slide hammer/pry/chisel/chipper... no markings so not likely mass produced.

No its not like a Yankee. The action is only verticle. The tip is wide a flat, more like a chisel. There are no signs of impact on the handle top which makes me think just the weight of hand strike...
