All of my life I have been a true lover of ALL things Victorian and Vintage,Mainly Victorian. I believe that comes from growing up in a home built in 1732 (Which my All of my life I have been a true lover of ALL things Victorian and Vintage,Mainly Victorian. I believe that comes from growing up in a home built in 1732 (Which my parents still live in 40+ years later) and they kept everything including the decor to go with the period of the home. When I find a new piece I love to think of who may have owned it and the story behind it. Hence the reason for my Auction and Estate sale addiction also. I have a rare genetic eye disease called L.H.O.N. so I am trying to buy and see all of the beautiful antiques out there whether household, clothing or perhaps old farm,yard tools before my sight completely goes. I love ot wear many of the antique finds, Such as I have a very old pair of woman's black leather lace up boots that have been so worn & loved by someone long long ago yet are still wearable. Some black shoe polish, new soles and laces and I wear them as much as I can. Over the past several years I have become somewhat obsessed with all things Millinery. I love to research each piece that I come across. What once took me 5 minutes to read now may take an hour or so with my visual aid tools but it is what I enjoy doing. It keeps my mind occupied. I must say that this site has become in my top 2 for loving to browse , look at all of the photo's, and the information that I find on here is AMAZING! (Read more)
