Well the owner did tell me his family got it from a bar to add to his collection. Any idea where I could find more information about this oddity?

Hello antiquerose, I,m not sure as to what you're reffering to.
Also it's five(5) gallons.
Well I'm sorry but you're mistaken. Those are all 1 gallon bottles, standing around 18" high. Whereas, mine is 28 1/4" high.
